On magnificent Hwy 550 between Montrose and Durango, CO I had just
crossed Red Mountain pass and stopped to soak in the high mountain air. Parking along side the road, I got out to wander around a
bit. Little did I know until I was on my way back to my Jeep, I have parked next to an Avalanche Warning sign! This is a shot of
where the avalanche shoot starts.
