      bierstadt and beyond
At the west end of the Mt Evans parking area, you can walk beyond the edge of the road, to an open area to get a better view of Mt. Bierstadt and the Saw Tooth Ridge - the saddle between the two peaks. My friend Sequoia ventured out there while I set up my telephoto lens on the tripod. Her red sweatshirt and hair made a sharp contrast to the dark rocks of Bierstadt, the snow-covered mountains and blue cloud-covered sky. If you look close, you can see there are hikers on top of Mt Bierstadt.
