Turning off Hwy 40 just out (north) of Fraser onto CO Rd 50 and then making an
immediate left onto CO Hwy 5 will take you deep onto the slopes around the Fraser/Winter Park area. Continuing past the end of pavement, will
take you past the Crooked Creek Ranch - home to a huge Young Life retreat. Miles past the Ranch entrance is a large parking area designated for
snowmobile parkting. In early spring, this is as far as you can get but come summer, you can go several more miles to a high
mountain lake. However, the image above is taken from that parking lot - looking east toward the Continental Divide in the distance.
