It is far more than point and shoot, learning to see with a different set of eyes, seeing things in a way I had never looked at them before was, and still is, a revelation. Diving into digital photography as a 59-year old novice is an exciting journey - afterall it is the journey, not the destination, that is the reward. A lot of these ideas were germinated in a class I took at a local community college with Alexis Clement. Her fresh, honest love of her craft was evident from the first day. Not a traditionalist by any means. Stating to us that if were didn't get dirty in this class, by taking pictures from unconventional angles and locations, we would not be more than a 'point-and-clicker'. She instilled in me that constant approach of looking at everything, I do mean everything, from a different point of view. Thank you Alexis.

There is a point where you truly connect with all life force. It is that point where the inner eye is opened and the inner eye, the eye of One, sees, knows and integrates with all that is seen. Many times so far, and I am so early into my photography I have taken a picture because it felt right, something moved me, something I couldn't put my finger on but when I started working with the image later, it jumped out at me. This is so exciting and enlightening.
