      last dollar ranch
On a two day, 854 mile road trip over the Memorial Day weekend in 2010, I traveled from Denver to the western slopes of the Rockies, visited Telluride before settling into Cortez for the night. The Mesa Verde National Park and the world famouns cliff dwellings awaited me the next morning. However, the trip to Cortez was such a beautiful, scenic drive.

The largest of the ranches was the Last Dollar Ranch. Just look at its entrance! The ranch extended as far as the eye could see. That interlocking fence could be seen segmenting the ranch into various pastures. And the view entering this ranch is awe-inspiring.
