      out to pasture
Driving on CO Hwy 73 out of Fraser, running along St. Louis Creek is a magnificent drive. You will see everything from beautiful pasture lands with awesome backdrops (above), to wetlands full of wildlife, to barren land being raped by logging companies, to deep forest so dark it is hard to see anything in the trees, to hiking trails that beg to be wandered. The road leads to the Byers Peak Wilderness but on the day I drove, the road was closed before I could get to St. Louis Lake. This is definitely on my list for a repeat visit.
