Easter weekend 2011 my good friend and fellow photographer, Cindy Wentzloff
(CynthiaG Photography) suggested at the last minute to take a long weekend trip to
Page, AZ. Sure, why not. Well, 1,500 miles later and almost 2,000 photos between us, we returned to Colorado.
I have to admit it but I made a wrong turn in Durango that cost us well over an hour on our trip. However, it took us north towards Silverton and
to the beautiful San Juan Mountains. There were storm clouds over the San Juans but the setting sun behind us as we headed down into Silverton. This
is where I had a feeling we were going the wrong way. Too interested in the mountains to realize it until now. Oops!
