"We all deserve a second chance" - That is a loaded statement, one with many facets and biting tentacles. Without getting
deep into societies ills, my concept is one of renewal, an opportunity to start over afresh. A thought I have used with my children many times as they debated major decisions was "life
doesn't give you many times to start over - fresh - no baggage - no history - a second chance. Take advantage of it now and do it the right way. No regrets."
If you have read my bio you know how I have come to one of those very places in my own life. A chance to try to capture the passion, the essence of my
love and appreciation for nature - God's gift to us.
So, having said that, let me make it clear that my statement of "we all deserve a second chance" is intended to be an indication of a fresh, new look at life's venture. I am
not implying that to be a blanket statement. Child molesters, rapists, murderers and such would be difficult to just turn the other way on but that is not to say it isn't possible -
just unlikely - at least in my way of thinking.
I believe the human spirit, like the human body, responds positively when treated with respect and honor. One of my revelations came laying on the operating table in Tucson, AZ.
The heart doctor hovered over me, pulling a tv monitor over for me to see my own heart beating. She showed me the blockage but then marveled at what my body had done. The
secondary arteries on the other side of my heart had actually grown longer and were supplying the damaged side of my heart with the blood, the nutrients and the oxygen it needed.
AMAZING! My body was giving me a Second Chance!
