Climbing Pikes Peak from the Crag's Campground is a much longer hike than doing it from the Devil's Playground. However, the initial trek through the woods is on a well-worn trail and provides good scenery - if you take the time to look at it - which you should. After hiking close to 2 hours, you finally break thru the trees and realize you are only at about 11,000 ft. Still a long way to go.

I like this picture because of the way it shows the angles, the rocks, the trees, the valley below and the fact that I am ahead of my other hiking companions. Guess I was in better shape. :o}
